Crown Commercial Service (CCS)

Supporting public sector organisations with environmental monitoring

Airly has been named the Supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Transport Technology framework (RM6347). This framework enables public sector organisations to access modern transport‑related technologies that enhance citizen services, streamline procurement, and deliver value for taxpayers, while also supporting the UK’s wider transport policy goals, including the transition to clean energy.

It supports the UK’s transport objectives by providing access to a wide range of technologies, including EV charging infrastructure, AI‑driven traffic management, transport system integration, parking solutions, environmental monitoring, and tools for transport enforcement and compliance.

Under Lot 4: Environmental Monitoring and Climate Resilience, public sector buyers can procure outdoor systems that collect environmental and climate data – including related hardware, software, and services. This includes real‑time air quality intelligence that supports compliance, planning, and long‑term resilience strategies.

Public sector organisations can purchase through three routes:

  • competitive selection
  • digital platform competitive selection
  • award without competition.

Why this matters for public sector buyers

With over 100 commercial agreements, CCS helps public sector organisations get better value from products and services. Being part of the Transport Technology framework means Airly can participate in simplified procurement procedures, making it easier for local authorities and regulated entities to access high‑quality environmental monitoring solutions.

This aligns with the goals of the UK’s readiness 2030 guidance, supporting cities and regions as they prepare for future air quality and climate‑resilience requirements.

To highlight the broader value CCS delivers to the public sector, the organisation also shares the following statement for public reference:

“Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2023/24, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £4.9 billion – supporting world‑class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.”
